SBC Medical Group Holdings Incorporated (Nasdaq: SBC) (“SBC Medical”), a global franchise and provider of services for aesthetic clinics, announced that NEO Skin Clinic Ebisu, which operates under its management support, has appointed Dr. Nariaki Miyata, a leading expert in the field of aesthetic dermatology, as Technical Advisor and Consultant.
NEO Skin Clinic Ebisu, which opened in April 2025, is a new venture of the SBC Medical Group, offering the latest skin care treatments without the need to travel to Korea, in a more accessible and affordable manner. We prioritize creating a comfortable environment where customers can visit with peace of mind, through thorough consultations by specialist doctors and treatments that prioritize high efficacy.
Dr. Miyata, who has recently joined as a technical advisor and consultant, is a leading expert in energy device therapy in Japan. After graduating from the National Defense Medical College, he has accumulated over 30 years of clinical experience in the fields of plastic surgery and aesthetic dermatology. In particular, he has received extremely high praise and trust both domestically and internationally for his treatments using cutting-edge technologies such as laser, RF (radiofrequency), and HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound). He has been at the forefront of this field from both academic and clinical perspectives. Currently, in addition to serving as the director of “Miyata Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Clinic” (Minato-ku, Tokyo), he is dedicated to improving the standards of aesthetic medicine and promoting its proper dissemination through the writing of specialized books, lectures for physicians, and technical explanations. At NEO Skin Clinic Ebisu, with his appointment, we will establish a system where patients can receive direct technical guidance from Dr. Miyata in the actual treatment setting, in addition to his supervision of equipment selection and treatment protocols.
Laser and radiofrequency treatments used in the field of cosmetic dermatology are delicate medical procedures that cannot be adequately addressed with manuals and knowledge alone. They require careful assessment of skin type, symptoms, and treatment progress, followed by optimal treatment design and high-level irradiation techniques. In recent years, aesthetic medicine has evolved from a surgery-centric approach targeting a niche market to a broader range of non-invasive aesthetic treatments. Meanwhile, advancements in medical devices have been remarkable, making it increasingly challenging for physicians to continuously update their knowledge. Against this backdrop, SBC Medical Group has established and strengthened a systematic education program for physicians and nurses to ensure that the latest knowledge and techniques are consistently delivered to the clinical setting. The initiative to appoint leading experts in various fields as technical advisors is part of this effort, supporting both education and clinical practice to enable the provision of safe and effective aesthetic medical care. SBC Medical Group will continue to contribute to enhancing the reliability of aesthetic medicine and the healthy development of the industry as a whole through the harmonious development of technical expertise and human resource cultivation.
